Unique Gift Ideas Abound at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture Country Store

TIFTON – Looking for a tote for that upcoming beach trip or a unique gift idea for that special friend’s birthday? What about some locally sourced honey to add a homegrown touch to that family recipe? The Country Store at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Georgia Museum of Agriculture has it all and more. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

From sunglasses to socks, the Country Store has it covered. Spring color scarves and necklaces are available and make the perfect addition to any outfit. The store even has a section of lounge apparel for those mornings when a cup of coffee and a good book is about the extent of your activity. To show your ABAC pride, there’s a selection of ABAC t-shirts and baseball caps.  For those wanting to add a personal touch to an item, the Country store even offers monogramming.

For anyone interested in locally sourced products, the Country Store is the place to come with a variety that ranges from pickles to peanut brittle. Barbeque sauce is also available as well as jellies and salsa. For those with a bit of a sweet tooth, check out the chocolate-covered pecans. Museum personnel make grits, corn meal, syrup, and turpentine on site, and it’s available for purchase in the store. You can’t get any closer to the original source than that.

With a variety of gift ideas, a shopper can find something unique for that person who has it all. Specialty soaps, candles, and bath bombs make the perfect spa gift bag. Locally made dreamcatchers are sure to bring a bohemian atmosphere to any space. A small section of books and keychains are perfect to toss in for the finishing touch.

How about a new set of dishes with a century-old flare? Find it at the Country Store along with vintage chalkboards and signs that spruce up any area. The store even has garden decorations, birdhouses, and windchimes in their summer selection of home goods.
