Common Questions

How do I….

Get a library account?   Check out books and other items with your ABAC Gold Card.  Your Gold Card is your library card.  You can access your account online with your full ABAC email address and password. Check my library account? Simply click here and log in with your ABAC email address and password.

Obtain the GALILEO password?  You’ll find the latest password in GIL Find (library catalog). Log in with your ABAC email address and password to Access My Library Account.

Make a GIL Request?  From GIL Find search for the item(s) you would like to request. Sign into your account using your ABAC email address and password, if you haven’t already done so. Under the Get It tab you’ll see a list of colleges/universities that own the title. If the item is available for requesting then you’ll see a link to Request after Request Options. Make sure you select either the Baldwin Library or the Bainbridge Library as your Pickup Institution from the drop down menu. You can see the item’s status in your My Account.  You will receive an email from the lending institution when your item is available to be picked up. You may pickup your requested item(s) at whatever campus library you selection.

Request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?  You’ll find the Baldwin Library ILL request form here.  You’ll find the Bainbridge Library ILL request form here. Be sure your contact information is up to date.  We will email you with any questions or when your item arrives.

Computers, Printing, Scanning & Photocopying?  The Baldwin Library has # PCs. The PCs print in black & white and color. Swipe your Gold Card or log into the printer using the first part of your ABAC email address (before @) and your Centrify password. Photocopying also requires you to swipe your Gold Card or log in with your ABAC email address (before @) and your Centrify password. The Baldwin Library also has 3d printing and poster printing. There is an open, flat-bed scanner available in the Baldwin Library. The Bainbridge Library has 30 PCs. The PCs print in black & white.

Group Study Rooms?  The Bainbrige Library has five group study rooms.  Group study room use is first-come, first-served.  Group study rooms are not reserved.

Reserve Materials?  Reserve items are normally placed in the ABAC Libraries by teaching faculty.  They may include textbooks, sample quizzes, models, etc.  They are checked out at the Baldwin Library service desk or at the Bainbridge Library service desk. Reserve items are normally “in-library” use only, but the due date is determined by the faculty member placing the item on reserve.
